Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

I've been busy the last few weeks getting things situated in my UK home, but I thought I would stop in to mention that I found something silvery in my garden yesterday and have finally trashed my worn and rusty bronze spade!

My util is slightly above 10% (about 12% actually) recently, causing my scores to drop a few points while gardening, but I have been buying a lot of stuff in the last 3 months and will get that in check eventually.  I have a 0% offer on one card, so I might as well use it.  The util (and small score drop) really doesn't bother me at the moment, because I don't plan on applying for any new credit anytime soon.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

After being declined for a $200 secured credit card from my own bank two years ago, I started the rebuilding process, and I think I've made really solid progress both for myself and DH.

Over the past few months we've been approved for a $200 Target card, a $500 Chase Freedom card, an $800 Wal-Mart Discover card, and as of today, a Ralphs Rewards Plus Visa with a $6000 limit. So I am officially in gardening mode, waiting for the baddies that wouldn't budge to fall off in about two and a half years.

Happy gardening everyone!

Thanks, Webhopper!

I'm hoping after some time passes I'll be jumping to the mortgage thread. We've got a long way to go, but at least we're a few steps closer.

Still here!  64 days app free and holding on strong.

School and work have been keeping me very busy so I really haven't had time to think about applying for anything.

I'm shooting for 90 days app free so I can upgrade my spade!
