Re: Garden Club Meeting - September 2012

I just received a score watch this afternoon. My new Wells Fargo card has just reported. Much to my surprise and delight, my score went UP 3 points! My score went down when BoA and Citi reported, and I assumed I'd receive a further new credit ding from WF, so I'm happy that my score didn't drop any further. It's the fact that it went up that's a puzzler, but I'll take it! Smiley Happy

While it's been fun getting approved for my new cards, I'm really looking forward to watching them age. The garden feels like a natural place for me; I like stability. I'm looking forward to seeing my AAoA go up. Currently, I'm at 7 years 1 month, and the Discover has yet to report. I should be left with a reasonable AAoA, but I'm glad that I stopped at getting the four cards that I really wanted and didn't add in anything that I didn't really need.

Right now, the gentle garden breeze feels wonderful!

Re: Garden Club Meeting - September 2012

I need to garden for a while. I promised myself I wouldn't app until Jan 2013 and I went on a mini bender, apped and received a NFCU Visa Signature Flagship Rewards card and an Amex BCE card. I need an intervention.  Smiley Frustrated

Just curious whats the reason you pay over the phone?

I know its kinda late but I am new to gardening

AAoA =3.7 years
Past history (Before last month)
Lots of baddies with Macys (2 accts actually) but its PIF just waiting for them to drop off 1 either drops off 1/13 or 6/13
2 collections sent GW to one this week waiting on a response
AU on wifes freedom w/ $3300 limit  - PIF every month and a 0 balance currently bill reports 10/1

I have a toyota loan and paid on time every month for 5 years (this month Smiley Happy

Current
Approved for cap1 secured for 200 (deposited 50 today and Paid 29.00 fee) not due until ???
Approved for Slate with $200 limit will PIF Monday not due until 10/16 (first statement)

Wife opened a Slate ($3300)for a balance transfer that was approved and I am an AU on that (yay 0% interest until Dec 2013)
Denied for Walmart
I have created a rolling spreadsheet for all kinds of good info

Both of the new slates are reporting Smiley Happy

Sitting back watching the roses and tomatoes grow for at least 6 months before I ask for a CLI.  I am going to try to use the "I have to pay this card off multiple times a month to not hit my limit"

Re: Garden Club Meeting - September 2012

This garden is so slow.   I have thought about applying for DCU, which I know is a hard pull, but I don't need the DCU card or the EQ FICO and actually prefer getting my SW updates.  And I have thought about the PSECU combo visa, but I don't need that either.  There aren't even rewards on the PSECU Visa, so the only thing it would do is increase my total credit line.... which won't make much difference as my util is already below 10% every month with very little effort.  I don't have a good reason to apply for anything right now.

So I guess I will just slowly continue shuffling around in this garden...

Re: Garden Club Meeting - September 2012

Time does seem to slow down here, doesn't it?

That's not necessarily a bad thing tho.  Lots of folks have posted about their successful gardening.

I'm getting close to 60 days, and no real itchiness currently.  Smiley Happy
