Re: Garden or keep building?

It was the first time I went trough the car buying process. Let just say multiple lessons were learned. But at the time, I thought the same thing as Rogue. 5 HPs or 100 HPs, it'll just count as one. But the HPs are the only difference in my reports, resulting in a significant scoring difference.

USAA Preferred Cash Rewards (9.5K), AMEX BCE (6.0k), Amazon Prime Chase (5.0k), Cap1 QS (1.1k)

Data Points (as of 10/2019):
EX (FICO): 785 (16 inq) , TU (not FICO): 766 (7 inq) , EQ (FICO): 794 (23 inq)
Utilization 5-10% (PIF monthly), AAoA: 4y 5m, AoOA: 7y 1m

+1

The FICO algorithm will count them as one, but an inquiry-sensitive lender will see them all and can still consider them individually.

Some lenders allow you to see if you pre-qualify for any of their cards based on SP.

For the most part, lack of pre-qualification does not mean one would not be approved, nor does pre-qualification guarantees approval.
