General Usage Question

I'm sure these questions are answered somewhere in the community but I couldn't find any recent answers and I know things can change daily around here!

1.  Is a payment considered activity??  If I used a card in early July and didn't pay until mid April.  When is the last activity?

2.  How much is enough to charge on a card that I'm just keeping for utilization?  I have a $10K NFCU card.  Don't want the CL to drop so I read somewhere that the "pack of gum" purchase is not enough (but that as a 2017 post). Don't want the card to close.

Thanks!

YMMV, I would recommend putting a recurring expense plus autopay on cards the will be SD, such as streaming services.

Amex Blue Cash $20k
Chase FU $9.2k
BOA Cash Rewards $7k
Comenity BJ's Perks Plus M/C $8k

First, Credit card payments are considered activity.

Second, NFCU is not going to close down or take AA action on your card for non-useage, but I can guarantee you this. They also won't give you a CLI if you put a silly spend on the card like a pack of gum or a small recurring bill. Their reason--you don't need a bigger CL since you're not using the limit you already have.
