Getting CB on Purchase, Then Doing BT

Hey, everyone.

I was thinking of making a purchase. I was wondering if the cash back I'd get from it would be clawed back if I did a BT after to another card.

Please advise? Thanks.

Nope, not at all.  Enjoy the cash back and hopefully the BT fee doesn't negate the cash back reward.

Yes.   Just to be clear, when you do a BT from card A to card B, all the issuer of card A sees is that (that portion of) the balance is paid.   So it's no different from you just paying the card, so of course you keep any cash back (and SUB if it comes to that).

But as Loquat says, the fee if any may negate the reward, but presumably there are other reasons for doing the BT.
