Update

Well, I just called American Express to check on my status.     Denied.   They are unable to give me a card at this time.  Explanation is in the mail.

I'm 1 out of 3 on credit inquiries in the last few weeks.   Very aggrivating.

Well, the first offer I get from American Express, I will be sure to go out of my way and  make a point to call them and tell them to shove their card up their *** and to remove me from their mailing list as quickly as possible.
I know my scores aren't the best and I have some bad info on the report but the positive out weighs the negative.  You mean to tell me they can't afford to risk a 500 dollar credit line on me?  Holy ****!!!   I've had a house payment for the last three years!!  My total debt's been cut by over half within the last year.   I owe nothing to any credit card companies.   I owe half as much as my household income.  LOL!  Screw em.

Well, I guess I will ponder some more over a WaMu card.  Thanks for the replies.

Re: Update

I'm a guy and I guess I could change my username to 'shortfuse', because BS really pisses me off fast.

The thing that gets me is, blue cash isn't a prime card by ANY means, by any stretch of the imagination.   As the CS rep rattled off 5 minutes worth of vague, chopped up spoken penalties, I started asking myself, " why was it I'm applying for this card again?"

The interest rate sucked after the initial intro period to begin with.  But then....THEN, if you screw up it's hell fire and brimstone!!!    She started talking about possible fees and penalties like I had never heard of before!  It didn't quite get to your first born but I'm putting two and two together and it hits me.... I finally ask her, " So you're telling me the default rate can go to 50%?!!?!?    She calmy replies, 'yes'.    Then I laughed.

So I'm thinking, if I get approved for this card, I may be fearful to put much more than a burger and fries on it!  lol     Then I find out I'm not even WORTHY of it!  AAHHAHAHAHAHA! .....HAHAHA!!    I love it.  That's fine.  I'm glad I didn't get approved.   WTH anyway, huh?

Moral of story: If you want an Amer Express Blue cash card in this financial climate, be sure to ask not only about the interest rate but where their district headquarters is located.   Let them know you will go to a designated area at sunrise daily, and bow down on your prayer mat, facing in the direction of Amex HQ and thank them for the costly ability to use their vast amounts of wealth should you be approved.
Only if an American Express commercial can bring a tear to your eye should you even be considered for the PRIVILEDGE to make them money you measly, ignorant peasants!!

So people, in the mean time I'm just another retard with a subprime, AF, Capital one card.   Thanks.Smiley Very Happy
