So I've had the American Express Blue Cash card w/ a $4K CL for exacly 1 year this month. Never got any luv. Tried once in the past and was quickly declined.
Today I decided to pull the trigger and ask for an increase via the automated phone system. The computer said it could take requests up to $25K. Since I never had any luck with increasing the line on this card, I figured I wouldn't push my luck. I asked for a total credit line of $12K. Entered my annual income and seconds later was approved for a total CL of $12K!! Best part is, no hard pull on my Experian report! Go Amex!
Question: What would happen if I called and told them I meant to ask for $25K?? Who thinks I should do this? Majority will make my decision..............

Isnt 3X your current CL the norm and maybe highest?
yes 3x your current CL every 6 months is max increase at a time. you could open another account though... but I would do it Jan. 1!

I'd say he's fine. 3x CL for CLI request is commonly accepted practice with Amex.
I would wait 6 months and ask for next increase.
You made me laugh so damn hard Damn that was funny, BUTTTTT, you would be a candidate for a FR.
