Re: Goal Cards for 2014?

So glad i took the initiative to join this forum. Pitfalls vs Progress discussions are extremely helpful before making real life decisions on credit. Thanks to all.

Well, i laser beamed Chase Freedom with the intention of finally apping for it since October but Citi and GEcrb had beat them to my attention with bonified offers ahead of them. I even visited a nearby Chase Bank with intentions to go for it but the desk buddy didn't encourage me with any confidence by his blah, blah, had a bad day attitude so i chose the better part of valor and put Chase on the back burner. Now i learn they pulled the 200 for 500 spend term and offer just 100. Is this really a competitive bank? With assets and resources?

No matter. Duck mania made me forget all about it.

Looking to add for 2014 Amex once my slashed UTIL posts and scores rebound.

Also either BOA or Barclay for good measure.

I hope everyone's plans are exceeded!

Well, after being denied a second time by Chase, I know I certainly must garden for 6 months before they'll even look at me.

So..my goal card for this year is a Chase Freedom.

I might even want to go for an AMEX...I dunno. I have no interest in a charge card (unless I can get way more worth out of the AF in rewards)...I'd want to go for a BCE or something but wouldn't really want to have to go the Charge Card route first. We'll see how my EX score is in 6 months and go from there, I guess..

What are your goal cards for this year???

One from Citi and/or BOA, and the Freedom.

I'm definitely going for CSP this year, still undecided about Amex.
