"Credit Steps" Is an automatic CLI prior to one being able to ask for a CLI through the normal means.
OP: Make a payment immediately and when I say immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY!!!! Do not let the statement close with that overage unpaid as that will affect your credit steps and your overall profile with CapOne.
