HSBC CLI soft or hard pull

Good day everyone,

I would like to ask for a cli on my hsbc mastercard but i just wanted to know if they are still doing soft pulls.

I wenty on the website and it states they may need to obtain a copy of my credit report to determine.

Is that standard and is it still a soft pull or does this mean a hard pull?

Mine was a soft pull on my HSBC Best Buy MC a few weeks back. I did get that message where they needed to review my CR as well, but did not get a hard for my CLI.

I've been with HSBC for a little more than five years...every CLI request, they tell you that they're going to run your credit.

They have not pulled a hard inquiry yet...but they could.

I asked for a CLI on my HSBC Plat (no annual fee- cash back) about a month ago - it was a hard pull got a 3,000 or so increase though. A few days ago I called in for a CLI on my old Orchard soft pull $200 increase -- YMMV

well i just did it and i got the dreaded 7-10 day msg lol oh well
