Agreed.  Simmons First and IberiaBank are two of the most difficult to get, due to their underwriting.  All applications are manually reviewed and they typically require some docs to be sent in before approval. 

Do a SEARCH here on the same question, there are prior thread discussions on the hardest.  Hardest to get ain't necessarily from the Big Boys.

Question should probably also add "generally available" because there are cards from very small CUs where most people don't meet the membership requirements, even if the card itself has very minimal UW standards.   These are much "harder" than Simmons, because instead of filling in forms, you would have to relocate!
