Re: Help me pay my bills

Thanks y'all. Sorry I had to dig to find my post Smiley Happy

I can definitely pay them off which is what I'd prefer because having 4 open CC's to me is just asking for trouble (although I write down due dates in my calendar - I tend to say "Oh I'll pay it when I get home and jump on the computer - that leads me to FB, Twitter, Pinterest and before I know it... I'm in bed thinking "Crap I forgot to make the payment"

Also one of the questions was if we are AU on each other accounts.  I actually added him to my VS yesterday. I told him to add me to his WM and CU Mastercard last night... Is that still a good thing? Or don't do it.

Just to verify I should go ahead and pay all 4 cards off? What about the Fingerhut accounts?

I can't thank you all enough for being so gracious enough to answer post after post.

I would definitely pay off all balances. Only add an AU if you have low utilization, if the intention is to help the other person's credit profile. Smiley Happy

Re: Help me pay my bills

Thank you.

We can definitely manage - we were advised by our lender to apply for a credit card (after working with a credit repair agency)  each to give our scores that nudge it needed to qualify for a VA loan.

So in reality he should keep his WM at 0, CU Mastercard at less than 9% and myself keep VS at less than 9% (I use it for my bath & body works hand soaps and sanitizers) and Capital One at 0.

Oh and to previous poster the cards are new like less than 2 months new.
