No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
you need to stop applying for new cards and see about raising your limit on current card. that helps build credit as well and usually a SP for approval
i must recant my statement. i have been told that higher limits hold no bearing on credit score.
What are your baddies and how old?
My opinion: Assuming no other accounts or loans, the only thing that can really help your chances at this point is time. At this point your credit history is so thin, CCCs can't accurately predict how you'll treat any credit they extend to you.
My advice: As MJ said, work on getting your baddies paid and removed from your credit report as a distraction while your current CL ages. I would give *at least* a year (as in having the card a year) on your current card, as painful as that may be, to give future CCCs a history from which to judge your credit-worthiness.
Current Utilization: 0% / ~$50,000 AAoA: 7-8 Years Installment: ~$50,000 Student Loans / ~$2,000 Car Loan Current Scores: TU08 - 812 (8/5 BarclaysCard) EQ08 - 843 (7/28 Citi - Bankcard/900) Goal: Buying our first home! |

Yeah, Both are unpaid. Someone was telling me I can call the collections people and try to get them to settle for a smaller amount?
