Hit by Barclay

Never had a review and once I was late by one day they CLD me by 350.

Never been late before and always make very large purchases and use card regularly, never pay interest.

They say it was because I have high balances on other cards and I know that is not the only reason as I have had balances 30% higher months before and paid them down.

Anyone ever have luck reversing this?

Maybe try a credit analyst or EO? Never hurts to try.

Don't waste your time with Barclay they did the same thing with me I think my limit was 5500 and they CLD for the reason balance to high what a joke I pay in full every month I cut the card and send it back to them and told them I will not recommend their cards to anyone next day a lady from the CEO office called me that if I wanted to bal bla bla I said no I don't need their card.

Re: Hit by Barclay

I think you can call the recon number to see if they can reverse it. Another forum member was CLD by barclays as well. he called recon and they were able to reverse it.

+1

I concur with enharu.  Since you mentioned you had a decent payment history/usage on the card, it wouldn't hurt to try using the above channel.  More often than not, the CLD was a system decision and not actually made by a human.  Technically, the oversight was yours, but hopefully they can "forgive" this instance and reinstate your CL.

Re: Hit by Barclay

@enharu.
That was me.
They reduced my cl from 7700 to 2750. Called the backdoor num, spoke to an analyst and it was reinstated right away. The CLD never even reported! They were concerned that my debt had grown from 7k to almost $20k.
The Cred Analyst was nice, but some of those attitude'ish little twenty something year old females need a reality check, so make sure you don't get one of them. Lol

Well a debt rise from 7k to 20k is a little alarming for most folks! LOL

Got a guy and he said no until my balances come down, looks like this is one card I will not be using any more.

Re: Hit by Barclay

Looks like 20k is magic number for them, wonder what they will do when my mortgage reports.
