@kshurikawrote:
I've brought my Util down to 8% and my total credit has gone up with my new DiscIT. Chase has pre-qualled me for both Freedom and CSP, both of which I want and was planning to app for in my Chase branch. My problem is that on CCT, EX has my AAoA at .8 years. EQ is the same. TU is much longer because it lists an Amex account I had three decades ago. I also have 6 HPs on EX, four of which age past one year in June, EX is Chase's main go-to CB. Obviously, last month's successful Disc app pulled my AAoA under a year. Everything else seems good. 82.5 inc, small car loan and very little other debt. Only baddie is on TU. Do I risk the two apps at Chase, app only one, or do I tend the garden? I wanted to have at least the CSP before I go to Spain in May.
Your counsel, or best guess?
Best guess is that you’ll be approved if you are already are preapproved. You don’t list your credit scores but the preapprovals are generally very solid. If the first application won’t push you over 5/24 if you’re approved, then apply for both but submit the application for the card that you want most first. Also, no need to go to the branch to apply if the preapprovals show online. Your application won’t be any different there than from the comfort of your home. Good luck.
I would wait until Monday or Tuesday morning, app for CSP, call in for verification if not instant approval, and then app for Freedom after approval (same day, different browser).
I have the same issue as you: only baddie is on TU and Chase is a big TU puller in my state (Illinois).

Same here; no baddies but TU usually lags by 20+ points.
OP should be fine...Chase was my second (rebuild) card.
