That is definitely going to be my plan! Apping can be so addictive, but I'm definitely going to garden now. I plan on buying a car in two years and it would be nice to go into it not having any inquiries on my CR.

Oh I know how addicting it is, lol. It used to be that when I was approved, it was like walking into a casino and hearing those slot machines. There was a point last year when I took a break from the forum so I was not tempted. Now I am to the point where I am growing my TLs and have no need for more. I will be in the market for an auto loan in the 2 year window as well so my goal is to get any 0% offer out there.

Tesla... Then tell the Prius drivers to suck it Smiley Happy

only if everybody could afford 100k cars the world would be an better place lol

Tesla is my dream car (local area dream car as it would be difficult to road trip with it)

I would like to have that car as well , but my income would not be able to support it -( For me i think its more important for me to be able to max out on my 401k and roth ira :-) That situation isn't the same for everybody though. Hopefully you will be able to get that car soon :-)

I agree. Besides, a nice retirement plan is far more attractive than an expensive car. Well, to the more educated people at least, lol. I could never pay more than $30K for a car let alone $100K. I could afford it, but in my eyes it is just not needed.

You're MUCH better off maxing out your 401K and IRAs Smiley Happy

I was joking really... Tesla is my dream car too.  At one time there were some financing incentives, etc.  I don't know how many are really still around.  I won't own a Tesla in this lifetime unless they cut the price in half (or more) or marry into a different economic stratosphere (which won't happen, I'm never getting married again).

I believe most of the current tax credits only apply to electric vehicles under $50K or so.

Hah... the car I have my eyes on is the complete opposite of the Prius. My goal is to get a C6 Corvette Z06 with very low millage. The new Stingray Z06 will be out by then, which will mean prices on the C6's should bottom out. I'm thinking I should be able to pick one up for around $30-35k with very little mileage.

I would have to get my income into six figures at least to even think about buying an car more then 30k :-) I rather just put money into my roth ira and 401k . Tax free growth is sooo nice :-) i know its not really credit related, but matching employer 401k is like free money , don;t like giving that up :-)

To me that is credit related. In fact, if you did not notice it, we now have a retirement forum to post threads about 401K and what not. However, I think we have hijacked this thread enough for one day, lol.

That would be a TON of fun to drive Smiley Happy  I hope it works out.  If it does you will have to come join us in the Garden Club and post pics Smiley Happy

I work in a high tech area with lots of Priuses they are the WORST drivers lol Smiley Happy  I almost flattened one late last week when the pulled out in front of me in heavy traffic, I really didn't think I could get my car stopped in time.

Thanks everyone! I'm having to fight off paranoia after a very successful app spree.

If you're not apping then it's generally not worth going through this trouble.  Just ensure that your utilization is under 30%.  When you're ready to app then worry about keeping reported utilization under 10% on just one card to eke out the last few additional points.

Price of vehicle doesn't make the world better.  Price is just price.
