I do the same, I make at least 2x the minimum payment or PIF each week on payday or make a note in my brain to check again the following week to pay it off. Good thing i do this, one store card had a balance because something that was ordered a couple months ago that was on backorder finally shipped, I didn't even think about it. Until I saw the balance it was about $10, but more than enough to get a 30day late.
no space in my brain to rent out, i have to check everyday
I created a spreadsheet that lists all of my accounts, with columns for due date, minimum amount due, amount paid, and the last time I requested an increase. I also use the calendar on my Blackberry to remind me when each account's payment is due (just in case I don't get on the computer for a few days). I use the web bill pay from my bank to make payments, which I always get confirmation numbers; and the majority of my accounts will let me see the statement through my bank account.
My system seems weird to others, but it's perfectly clear to me!
It's also significantly easier if you only use one or a few cards each month.

+1
I always pay the minimun or more when the statement closes. I then pay the rest before the due date.
I keep track in a spreadsheet.
"Never be late" is the number 1 rule of rebuilding. Nothing else matters as much.
Pageonce! and i have a spreadsheet.
I'm a bit OCD and I check my accounts on a daily basis. I know when statments are supposed to generate and I stay on top of them. Now that I have my second card, I plan on making the due dates the same ( after my first statment generates around the middle of the month ) so that I will receive the statments for both accounts on the same day. It also helps that I'm really excited about rebuilding my credit and don't want to fall into any traps and make silly mistakes by being late on payments.
I have my accounts on mint and check at least 3 times a week, so I know exactly what cards have balances and when they're due. Works for me!
Good thread! I have 3 cards, which is the most I've ever had in life. I just went to Cap1 and Barclay's and set up the e-mail reminder when I'm getting close to my due date. But I typically send in a payment immediately after a purchase just to be safe.
How do you all pay your credit card bills? Do you give the cc company your bank info/routing numbers and transfer money in directly? Or do you send checks through your bank? I've been sending in checks but think I'm going to just start transferring it in.
