I'd go for it. Your stats are good and the AMEX prequal is usually pretty solid.

Good luck.

Thank you. I prefer a credit card vs charge card. Will that make a difference and how do I know which is which? So, many options platinum, gold, blue, etc.

I was pre-qualified for the BCP with a much weaker file than yours and I was approved. I only got the "just squeaked in" 1k SL but I'm just happy to be in the door & forming a relationship with amex so I'd say you will be just fine for approval.

The charge cards AMEX offers on the personal credit side are the Platinum, Gold, and Green. All other cards - including the platinum, gold, and blue variants of the Delta cards - are revolving credit cards.

It's said that core revolvers like BCE/BCP, ED/EDP, and CM are the highest underwriting criteria, one tier above the charge cards. That being said, I agree with the above that your odds are quite good for approval for whichever you choose.

Unless those inquiries are very recent or your income is low, I would say that you have very good odds for an AmEx approval. They have a pre-approval page if you have to check it.

Re: How likely am I to get approved for Amex?

My EX was lower than yours and my file thinner when I grabbed BCE with a $1K SL. Do the pre-qual and see what pops up. As others have said, pre-quals with Amex are pretty solid unless you've burned them in the past or have very low income.
