How likely am I to get approved for BCE?

My advice would be to open up a charge card product for the first year, and apply for the BCE later on.    Take a look at some of the offerings, such as Premier Rewards Gold, which has no Annual Fee for the first year.

PRG will also give you those gas rewards which will be nice!  I would suggest that your odds of approval for PRG are close to 90%

That is true but I do not want to be stuck with a $175 AF after that. It does sound very tempting though
