How long does BT's take?

I have done a BT with Citi but did it by them giving me the money to my bank which was quick like same day or next day but you dont have this option with chase. I transfered 2 balances 1 from Amex and 1 with Citi. the Citi card payment is due on 1/6/15 and my Amex card didnt process the bill yet which will be on the 20th of December so i am not worried about that.

Should I pay $25 to my Citi card or just wait and see?

IT says 3 weeks up to.

It is never a bad idea to spend $25 you owe on a card anyway just to make sure the minimum payment is made and you don't get any kind of "missed payment".

You have to pay the $25 eventually, might as well pay it now.

Exactly. Since Chase doesn't provide a quick ACH deposit alternative like FIA/BOA or Citi, it can take a few weeks (perhaps less) depending on the payee. Thus, rule of thumb, make the required payment(s) to avoid any headaches.

BT timeframes vary. What you should do is your call based on your level of risk comfort. If you want to play it safe then pay at least the minimum to ensure it stays current. If you're willing to run the risk and monitor day to day then wait and see.

I am 100% the Amex will be done before January err 10th or so when it's payment is due and Citi card i will probably wait till the 25th to pay it since the payment is due on the 28th

I am thinking about returning the laptop and buying a new 1 with a better GPU. Can i do that and then do another transfer for the difference ?
