I recently joined and was approved for NavCheck and a CC. Do I need to use them first to get them to report, or will they start reporting on there own?
Thanks
They will report on their own. When i got my nfcu card, it took about 5 weeks from the time i applied for it to hit my credit. I did balance transfers and that might have been why it took a little longer for me.

you don't need to use them, they will report if you opened the accounts. Some banks it takes a statement, some more than one, and some report immediately (like Barclays). NFCU reported my card a month after the account was opened... IIRC, this was at the time of the first statement.
Yes! They report as soon as you activate the card! LOL
Sweet.
I joined NFCU 10/23/13, applied for checking LOC on the spot; was approved.
Called back two days later 10/25/13, applied for CC, was approved.
CC was already reporting, as early as 11/11/13
(possibly even earlier, i dont remember since its thats the date of the earlier report i have on file which shows the nfcu tradeline).
As of yesterday, the checking LOC is not reporting.
Good to know. Im just really looking forward to seeing those hit my reports and seeing if has any affect on auto CLI's from other lenders.

I am with you...I was hoping that my other CCs might want to show a little holiday love.
