A lot of positive things happened to my credit profile since I was approved for AMEX Platinum and BCP on July 21st.
I'm wondering when then'll do a SP and how often they continue to do one. Is it like NFCU with a SP across the board for everyone at the same time? Or, is it more individualized? Monthly, quarterly or only when they're suspicious or feeling generous?
Thank you in advance.
Everyone is different. For me, Amex provides 3 monthly EX-08 FICO scores. Therefore, they must be SP me at least 3 times per month. It takes about 5 days before the FICO score shows on my online account.

What is the limit on your BCP? In your other thread you note that they have a $4,500 - $4,700 current ceiling for your Platinum.
With your score, and BK showing, I would concentrate on getting through the first month with limited payments allowed (they seem to only allow one payment until they can verify that your cash source is legitimate) and then when in the second and third month, use more frequent payments to keep the cards able to charge.
With time, and usage and payment, your internal score with AMEX will improve, and that will be the best way you have of building charge limits with them. The FICO score and SP is nice, but now, this early, and with the BK in your past, they really will want to see your actual performance with them.
I started with a $2k limit Delta Gold in mid-2013, and with regular usage and recent apps in the last year I'm at about $47k on 4 revolvers plus the PRG.
Good luck!
@NRB,
Those are not my data points at all. I've never had a BK and that isn't my CL for any card I have.
AMEX SP'd me about every 6 days for 2 months while my ED was new, but it has consistently been once per month now and no extra SPs after opening my BCE so far.
I have only one Amex, open for over 20 years. They SP me once a month like
clockwork on the 20th, which is a day or 2 after my statement date.
