Heh, no...
On the application, it said that due to the Patriot Act, I needed a physical USA address to apply. I'm in the military, stationed in Germany, so while I have a USA mailing address (APO), my physical address is in Germany.
Not too terrible, but I would have liked it. Free subscription to their magazine, too. Ah well...

I was just kind of surprised, both since they're pretty military friendly, and because some people recommend it as sort of an easier-to-get starter-type card, and I still couldn't get one, even being approved for some of the harder-to-get ones. Not really surprised, more amused.

Can you give them a physical address of your mom/dad/brother/etc. in the states? Then change your mailing address w/Merrick and have your stateside rep send you the card?
