To the OP:  Just wondering something. You mentioned that the lady gave you the card and asked you to buy the things you needed to do the job. Did you actually go to the store, buy the things needed, use the card and sign the sales slip?

Yes. I went to her house. She was supposed to have the money for me to get the supplys. She didnt. She then stated for me to come back in 2 weeks when she got paid. Instead she called Menards and got me my own card under her account as a AU to get the repairs. Yes i signed the sales slip.

it would be cheaper to use dispute action.

Did she own the house?

If the OP is an AU on the TL and the TL is reporting him as an AU they are reporting correctly. The dispute will be closed without resolving the problem. The TL could be removed via dispute only after OP is off the account as an AU.

I agree. You can dispute with the credit bureau, but the account will simply report again next month. This needs to be fixed at the point of the creditor...the one who is doing the monthly reporting. Right now, there is nothing to dispute with the credit bureau because they are reporting correct information.

they helped me by talking to the reporting source (creditor)

and then they removed it.
