Question about verifying MR points posting. Do you see the corresponding points next to each transaction on a statement? Or do you see total points earned per statement? And do you have to log into a separate reward site, or just your regular Amex login account?
Just the regular account; Amex has one of the better websites for managing your account. If you click the Rewards tab and then click Points Summary, it will show all transactions with the points earned along with any bonuses including pending points on transactions that are in an open statement period.

Though in this case, the 9x promotional points appear separately from the 1x base points that Platinum usually earns on Instacart. If I have 5 supermarket purchases in a week (possible for me as I'm buying for multiple households and from multiple stores) having a calculator can be handy to match up the purchases to the 9x bonuses. But with less activity it's clear enough without needing one.
That's a good point. Multipliers for categories will be on the same line (like 5x flights) but bonuses from targeted offers like this, Amex Offers, etc. will be listed separately. Also bonuses (including the ones I just mentioned, Welcome Offers, referral bonuses, Rakuten earnings, etc.) post immediately to your account while the normal earnings (including categories with multipliers) will not post until both the statement has closed and the amount due has been paid, although everything is clearly shown as Earned or Pending and there is a handy pop up showing pending earnings broken down by total pending and pending by each MR earning card upon payment.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned already - been buried at work this week and not on much - but I was looking at my account online this morning and on my Platinum page, I'm seeing that the 20% statement credit for restaurants is posting as the charges post. I guess I figured that no credit would post until the statement cut, and 20% of all restaurant charges that period would then be credited, but apparently they're doing rolling credits which is kind of nice.
