well after several years of being a rebuilder, the last few days I went on some serious hunting and have officially left the rebuilder world behind.
I must admit I did go a little crazy but my scores only dropped a total of 9 points for these inquiries. I will not be applying for anything else for at least
another 2 years.
I applied for and was approved for:
Discover card with $4000 CL
Paypal Mastercard with $4000 CL
Chase Freedom with $5000 CL
Amex Blue Cash Preferred CL not known yet
Barclays Apple $1500 CL
Citi AA Advantage with a $4000 CL (denied but recon)
and finally...........
BOA Cash Reward with a CL of .............drum roll...........$7500
Everyone on this site has been so helpful I truly appreciate it.
Now to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor, let these TL age and buy a cup of coffee on each account every few months.
Time to beat them at their own game
Good stuff!
Be prepared for restlessness and boredom. Try crocheting or football or something.
Interesting... pls share what was situation prior?
Congrats. Be prepred for FR from Amex.
what does FR mean

Financial Review (they will request pay stubs and tax returns). There are very few and far between, so no need to worry about it now, just deal with it if it happens - and I would think as long as you didn't lie on your application you should be fine.
I believe what the poster above was trying to point out is that you should only apply for a card or two every few months and never go over board with your applications or you may risk Adverse Actions from your current and/ or new creditors. Barclay's is another one people claim don't like new tradelines.
Congratulations on your approvals, I know it feels extremely good when you're finally in with the prime banks
I wouldn't be worrying about AmEx. Barclays, though, that's another story.
Wow!!! What a great haul! Congrats on such a successful round of apps! Now, please come and join us in the garden... allow me to pass you a watering can.
