Congrats. I hate waiting for cards. I think that's why I went on an app spree last week. Can't wait for my first Discover. I'm cooling it until probably January, then I'll try for Discover More and my local CU, then garden for a couple years.
Congrats to you! Must feel great. I'm going to be app'ing for discover in 3-4 months.

I'm so excited! I received my Discover Open Road card this weekend. I just activated and had it converted to the Dicover More! Can't wait to get all of those cash back bonuses and to start shopping with Shop Discover!
Out of curiousity, why did you have your Open Road card converted to the More card? I was looking at Open Road for the cashback on gas. Just bought a new car over the weekend and I'd like to apply before I take the hit from the loan.
Congrats! I was going to get it, but I've decided to just stick with Visa and Mastercards as they are accepted more. I might consider AMEX though.

@kkc12286, I originally app'd for the Open Road for the cash back on gas too but after doing some research on the More I just felt that the reward system would fit my spending patterns better. I also went over how much I actually spend on gas found that I really don't spend too much. My car does take premium but I only have to fill up every 2 - 3 weeks so the cash back on gas wouldn't really be that great for me.
What are you driving that you oly fill up every few weeks? I just bought a Versa, which is why I was considering the Open Road card. The gas mileage is good, I got the car on Saturday and I'll hit half full today.
I see the open road gets 2% cash back on gas. Didn't it used to be 5%?

I thought so too. Can anyone verify?
EDIT: After some quick searching, it seems the student version gets 5%. Doesn't seem like the regular version was 5%.
