I had BOA AAA card and was forced into Comenity AAA card.
Didn't want to do business with Comenity.
I created an account, activated my card, and locked my card.
Just waiting for them to close it.
Logged in a few times to make sure lock was working.
Friday I received an email from Comenity that says activate your card, spend $300 by May 6, and get $50 bonus.
Ok so maybe I will give them another chance and get $50
So I tried to login, but site says your username or password don't match our records.
After two more attempts it locked me out.
I am done with them.
Well, I guess it's good you're done with them but maybe...like try resetting login
...and then look into password managers so you can keep track of your login information.
While I wasn't a fan of my largest credit line moving from a blue chip bank to Comenity either, the card has functioned as promised and they've left my CL alone (so far...) Comenity's web interface is one of the simplest to navigate and use out of anyones, so resetting a log in shouldn't be much of an issue. The only issue I've experienced is that tap to pay at gas pumps only works maybe 50% of the time. Put the card in the slot and it works 100% of the time. PNC Cash Rewards works just fine with tap to pay at the same pumps, so I'm assuming there's an issue in Comenity's card itself.
One thing I will say, I'm glad Synch didn't end up with it. CRA's getting a heads up everytime you fill the tank would be annoying as heck, along with Synchs schizophrenic nature are a major headache in themselves.
Yeah, those anti-fraud measures really suck when there isn't fraud.
I bank primarily with BOA and it seems like every time I get gas at an out of area (like 100 miles away) gas station, I get a fraud alert / slash please call with the declined charge.. which I'm okay with. But...I also have to chase down fraudulent charges from brick & mortar stores from 2,000 miles away that do not get the same hyper sensitive big brother treatment.
I guess everyone has their experiences just like every bank has their quirks.
$50 for $300 is a very excellent return.
I'd swallow my Comenity aversion(s) for this easily achievable bonus.
I use BitWarden for all of password tracking.

LOL
I have seen many reasons for not liking Comenity, but all this over a log in issue 🤔
