with short credit history, was wondering which credit cards, should i, or could i get approved for, looking for one i can use at most places.
Look at a secured card that graduates. If you can start with a large deposit $2000+. Garden that until you get offers from prime lenders. Maybe through in a store card like Walmart.

Hi Stigma. Welcome to myFICO.
You say you have a 588 FICO. May I ask where you got your score? I only ask because most sites you buy a "credit score" from do not sell you true FICO scores.
From a BK years ago to:

Try for a BoA secured card and garden it until your scores pick up - then, apply for a better card. You could also try Capital One (you might get approved for an unsecured card; their secured card doesn't gradute as far as I know from personal experience).
Before applying for any card, can you provide some more detail about what is on your report. What negatives do you have? There might be some easy things to clean up that could bring your score up before you apply for something.
