Re: I have come to a conclusion: AMEX Doesn't like me

Wow, that makes no sense. Sorry about the denial bro. I had no relationship with them but they approved me with 6 month history, I guess it's YMMV with these guys. You have a CO from 2010 yet you got the ZYNC after that, but they can't approve you for another charge card. Did you try reconning with these guys? Call 'em up and explain your story, it's the damn computer auto-denying you because of the CO.

Rebuilding...been out of the game for a minute. Now, after suffering I'm back with greater wisdom. Scores: Currently @ around 6 teens to 20's, across all three EQ,TU, EX

It's a Zync with $500 limit, Not possible to product change.

The only negative i have is a charge off from 2010 which has been paid, they always site that as the first reason.

I have read that 4/15 you will be able to PC

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

that would make sense considering they gave me my annual fee back when I canceled it because they no longer have the reward packs

Re: I have come to a conclusion: AMEX Doesn't like me

If its the Zync with the hard limit, I thought, please correct me if I'm wrong - that you would need to close it first before they will approve another card.

Re: I have come to a conclusion: AMEX Doesn't like me

Hey Denny!
The reason for the denials is the Zync (hard limit). It's been noted on several forums and by Amex reps that having the Hard Limit Unicorn is a auto denial. My advice- get your score up to 680 FICO- close the Zync and app the PRG if you really want that card. Also- depending on your profile- I'd also app the Delta right after on the same day. I think you will have a good chance at these cards. Good luck and hope this helps! :-)

Starting Score: 642
Current Score: EQ 773, EX 780, TU 777 (All FICO)
Goal Score: 800+

Cards: NFCU Flagship 50K, DC 30K, BCP 28.6K, Arrival+ 25K, Citi DP 22.8K, CSR 20.5K, TotalRewards 25K, QuickSilver 20K

Re: I have come to a conclusion: AMEX Doesn't like me

Don't worry, they don't love me either. I got rejected with 768 fico.

Then again, I had quite a number of inquiries, so it's my fault, not theirs.

JPMorgan Palladium (100k), AmEx Platinum (NPSL), AmEx SPG (46k), AmEx BCP (42k), Chase Sapphire Preferred (47k), Citi Prestige (31k), Citi Thank You Preferred (27k), Citi Executive AAdvantage (25k), JPMorgan Ritz-Carlton (21k), Merrill+ (15k), US Bank Cash+ (22.5k), Wells Fargo (12k), Bloomingdale’s (12.4k), Chase Freedom (5k), Discover IT (5k).

Don't take it personally, AmEx just doesn't make sense sometimes.

Re: I have come to a conclusion: AMEX Doesn't like me

Not that surprised really.  Typically Amex doesn't do revolvers without a 700 FICO or darn close to it.  Get your score up a bit and try again.

I don't think they are going to PC those cards and they definately won't PC to a revolver.
