So I currently have an offer that's activated for 10% statement credit up to $100 a month for spending $800 or more per month. I also received an email today which I activated for $150 a month for spending $1000 or more per month on GGR. So these stack on top of each other? Spend a total of $1000 and get a credit of $250 back? 25%? I've had the card since May but just now trying to understand the benefits.
Is that 10% on $800 spend on anything or 'online' spend? Yes, they are stackable. If you spend $1000 in GGR, you'll get $250.
It says $800 or more on eligible in store or online purchases. Thank you for the response.
Just received an email from SYW saying that something bigger (is that even possible???) is coming in November. We will have to wait and see if this is closer to nerfing the card than improving the benefits. If they have found the secret sauce with this card to be profitable with all the customers paying very high APR more than subsidizing the offers for rational customers, it could last for a while! I suspect that the business of selling personal data is also quite significant with this program and probably quite profitable given the quality and depth of the data captured. Yes many of us buy gift cards but SYW can still capture the spending power and have a good idea of key spend (grocery, travel, gas etc...) for many households.... Long life to this card. Fingers crossed!!!
Tater,
I interpreted that email to be from the Shop Your Way program itself, in that it might sustain itself after the divorce from the card (although I could be wrong). Might look like other discounted shopping cashback apps, maybe.
Maybe another Pepper! (Oh boy!!!!)
"Starting November 3, 2025, you will no longer earn Shop Your Way Additional Category Earn Program Global Points.."
Welp, it was cool while it lasted.

Pretty sure that's the "retail" purchases offer most of us have (10% on $800-$1000 retail spend for 3 months). Groceries are specifically excluded.
It stacks with the "online" spend mid-month offers, and the $1500 total spend 3-month offer, but is diametrically opposed to the GGR offer.
Check your fine print, mine says:
SPEND $800 or more each month from 8/1/25 through 10/31/25 on total eligible in-store and online retail, including Sears, purchases with your Shop Your Way Mastercard® (only purchases made after activation qualify).*
*Retail purchases are transactions made at men & women’s clothing stores, sports and riding apparel stores, shoe stores, accessory and apparel stores, music stores, computer software stores, sporting goods stores, book stores, office/school supply and stationery stores, game/toy and hobby shops, camera and photographic supply stores, card/gift/novelty and souvenir shops, leather goods and luggage stores, artist supply stores/craft shops, art dealers and galleries, cosmetic stores, florists, pet shops, pet food and supplies, swimming pools sales and supplies, duty free stores, discount stores, department stores, variety stores and miscellaneous general merchandise stores. Purchases not eligible for this offer include purchases made at home improvement stores, wholesale clubs, grocery stores or special events.

I mean, they already have the browser add-on pop-up that fights with Rakuten on most sites 🤷♀️.
My CC home page now has a splash banner about being "rebranded".
IMPORTANT ACCOUNT UPDATE
Your Shop Your Way Mastercard® account will be rebranded.
Effective November 3, 2025, your existing Shop Your Way Mastercard account will be rebranded. It will continue to be a Mastercard account issued by Citibank, N.A. No action is required by you.
There will be no change to the current account/card number, account history or payment address. You will begin to see the card changes reflected in account communications and websites as of November 3rd. Subject to your account eligibility, you will receive a new card by December 31, 2025, so continue using your current card until your new card arrives.
I find it interesting that there is zero mention of points restructuring or the like. Does make it feel like they're divorcing it. I have received the email about the "special" upcoming stuff, but not the physical mail about the nerfbat.

Here's the real burning questions for me:
1) Will I finally be able to add the new card to my digital wallet?
2) Will it continue to have the fugly raised text, or be a flat card that plays nicely with the other cards?
Right now it's one of the few cards I have to physically carry around, which I dislike... ESPECIALLY since it's not flat! The SYW and the Macy's (at 10x restaurants Q4) are exiled to only play with each other (upside down and face-to-face), since they both have the same issues from their mutual parents, Citi N.A.

Just received a letter from Citi today which says that my couple month old SYW MC is being converted to something else, New card, new reward program. I wonder if it's being converted to a Citi Thank You card.
Doesn't mean much to me as I never really used the SYW program.
Any guesses?
