I'm usually pretty good at the math. Although I did goof and accidentally selected pay statement balance instead of other amount last week. Had to borrow 70 from my mom to cover the difference. Which isn't a big deal, I'll just pay some of her bills this month.
Try paying a bill you can use a CC on to get cash back!!!

+1. Let this be a lesson to everyone here; if you schedule a payment in advance, always make sure that the necessary funds will be in your account when your bank actually processes the payment as well as any other transactions ongoing at that time. Plus, monitor and balance your checkbook every day so you always know how much money you actually have once your pending transactions are processed.

OP, please get "overdraft protection" immediately so something like this NEVER happens again! And if Woodstock, Woodpile, or whatever the name of this bank is don't offer it, close your account and open an account with a bank that does offer it. Because it's Murphy's Law, and !*#% happens. So the next time you believe your bill is covered, it will be, and you'll be ahead of the curve. So sorry this happened but treat it as a lesson-learned.
Woodforest. They seem to have most of their branches in Walmart stores, to the extent that I occasionally wonder if they are in fact a branch of Walmart (if that's even legal). Their advertising (in-store, anyway) appears to be directed in large part at the type of person who doesn't already have a checking account for one reason or another, and they don't offer any sort of credit card as far as I know. I've never really felt an impulse to do business with them.

When I pay my Cap One bill it will show as paid on the next day , BUT IT SOMETIMES TAKES UP TO 3 days to actually clear my bank account . Just bc Cap One says it's paid doesn't mean it ha cleared your account yet at the bank .
One trick I use when scheduling an advance payment that might help some people is to always record the transaction in my checkbook so that I know that the funds assigned to that transaction, even though physically available in my account, are in fact reserved for that payment and therefore not available for any other purpose. Of course, that works best if you keep daily track of how much you've spent and brought in overall.

I'm a bit confused. Paying the statement balance is sufficient to avoid paying interest, and that's what I do every time. There's paying nothing, paying the minimum payment (avoids late fees), paying the statement balance, and paying the full balance. I rarely pay full balance versus statement balance unless I'm intentionally zeroing out a card to improve my utilization in advance of applying for more credit.
1) Why are you at 100% utilization? lol
2) You didnt have the money. You OD your ckg acct and the bank decided not to pay the payment to CO on your behalf.
3) You need OD protection or OD coverage to prevent this in the future.
If you are going to be upset, be upset with yourself.
