I want 20% cash back with Disco & Apple, but I only have AU cards. Is this too risky an application?

When apping for my daughter's student card last month we were asked for the name of the school and to provide proof of enrollment.

Indeed it is. I asked if I registered through the student application page, and multiple discover reps said I apped through the regular It card page. 

500 CL is commonly given to students, however.
