I want something better. I have Zync "8 months" ,Discover "7 months" More and Barclay Apple" 6 months" I love all 3, but looking for a better credit line. Amex $500, Discover $1700 and Barclay Apple $2500.00. I have a 641 Fico. I do not want Citi or Chase. What are my options ? I am on Citi and Chase black list because my old company that I worked for 5 years did not pay my expenses for customers. They also went out of businiess. My last app was 6 months ago. Also I have Capital shi* 1 $1750 "2 years 3 months along with Macys $2000 for 5 yrs. I want higher credit lines. I am also buying a home with in the next 6 months. My credit utilization rate is under 15-20%.
If you're buying a home in six months, don't even bother. I apologize in advance for being indelicate, but just suck it up and be done with it. You have about as good as you can in your current credit strata anyway.
Frankly there's no real rush to higher credit limits, get your mortgage sorted, then figure out where you're at.

I guess it depends on what you really want. If you want a higher limit card, you are going to have to wait. It also depends on what kind of ard you are looking for. Recently I was on Paypal and saw an ad for the Paypal Mastercard that is backed by GECRB (very generous with limits + CLI's every 4 months @soft pull) I applied expecting a $500 limit or something that was unreasonable. It came back within 5 seconds with a $3,000 limit. My highest limit so far....
Something to consider...![]()
@ Crashem I have a $500 auto pay on the Amex Znyc.
@ logan_720 is it a hard pull at 1st.
Of course it is. Whenever you apply for credit there is going to be a hard pull.
per your siggy it says garden mode till 4/2013 and your wanting to app now? I would do what revelate says and not app for anything until you close on a house if thats what you intend to do
Do not bother to app for more credit until you close the mortgage.
Thank you all for the input. After the closimg, I'm just looking for a better credit line. I guess it takes time. ![]()
