Yeah, I'm coming around to this way of thinking too. Where I am, every place where I frequent not only accepts AmEx, but doesn't even require any kind of minimum spending.
The only places that don't take AmEx is a burger I like, but it's so cheap I can easily just pay cash. Now, going abroad is a different issue, where MC is King.

Probably the BCP. I would've considered the Freedom if they didn't decline my transactions yesterday. Citi would be my second choice - cash rewards, accepted everywhere, larger limit, 0% right now.
My CSP definitely. No forex fees, the ability to transfer points to both hotels and airlines, excellent customer service and the fact that it's a visa are all critical to me.
My CO PP would be a moderately-distant second.
