It was the 15 or 16 of this last December is when it hit last year. So expecting it to around that time this year. I would say still a good 80-90% chance it will be back.
@OP as others have stated if yo can qualify for 5k and obviously afford the 395$ AF there is no income requirements.. Nothing is special w/regards to that with this card.
In all honesty I dont understand why some make big deal of the AF... When I applied for Marriot/Ritz I got combined 210k marriot points, 300$ are travel credit which can be redeemed for flight tickets if you stay around 150$.
At least for me, cards with high AF work out not only to cover the AF but actually save me a lot of money. J.P morgan concierge even managed to find my lost iphone at 4 am in a taxi...
I agree that the AF is worth it.. Although some people would never pay for it on this card, platinum card, prestige or even the smaller CSP AF. Some people just are against AF's and this is one of the larger ones for a CC. Card isn't meant for everyone as it is a travel card and people need to understand that. When it comes back to the original questions of Income requirements I don't think one could make much use of this card say at 25k-30k annual income unless their employer reimbursed them for travel, etc.
I definitely think someone with 25k-30k income could make use of the ritz. There's no benefits here that really apply exclusively to more wealthy people. Some Ritz hotels have super low rates for use with the club level upgrade (Atlanta, Tyson's Corner, Pentagon City, Sometimes DC, Ft. Lauderdale) where you could be paying a very similar price for a standard marriott or something. A single vacation can easily recoup all the cost of this card.

The 140K bonus was one of my favorite all time promos. Regardless of income, the JPM Ritz offers a significant value proposition for anyone who travels.

And this is what I hope comes back on the 16th of whatever of next month and SM them to get the promo from my current two night stay.. Here Is to hoping it comes back.. Otherwise I am still happy of my decision to apply hoping for the 140k promo. Just wanted to get it in before my other cards reported thus jumping the gun on my recent approval.

People with just say 25k income will not be traveling near as much, if even one vacation a year that they might use card? I personally think it is silly if one was to obtain a fairly high AF cc on say a 25k income as most people wouldn't be able to afford a vacation one a year let alone 1.6% of their income (pre-tax of course, so that figure would be a bigger %). I think that money could be used more wisely in other ways. Each is to their own though and ultimately if they can benefit from it and can get approved for a 5k CL then more power to them as it isn't for me to judge how to use ones money and that is for each individual to figure out for themselves. Anyways we are getting a bit off subject. I think the question is answered their is no minumum income required as long as you have the credit to get approved for 5k cl.
edit: might make sense for the first year for said person as nice stay for 2 nights or 140k promo after that I would think differently

Yes, but you're not spending 1.6% of your income on a credit card.
(if the 140k offer comes back) you're spending 1.6% of your income on 140,000 marriott points, $600 in airline gift cards, lounge access, and other benefits.
even if you only count the airline gift cards, you're essentially investing 1.6% of your income in future travel, and it's giving you a 150% return on your investment.
@JSUCool you missed my edit on previous post where I didn't think about that... Might make sense for first year for said person although I still have my reservations, but I am not this person nor can i speak for his/her priorities in life.

Haha. You edited right as I was posting. Now I look dumb.

I'll +1 that.
Between my ritz and marriott signup bonuses, I got 5 nights at the JW Essex House, I got $300 in southwest gift cards, I got $300 in Delta Gift Cards. Used those towards 3 r/t tickets FLL-LGA.
I used a club level upgrade cert for my stay at the ritz pentagon city. Saved me a bit over $100 a night for a 4 night stay. That was over $400 by itself.
Used my loungeclub card to get my sister and I into the escape lounge at london stansted airport. that was $60. Used it for my sister and I at the Sky Lounge in Frankfurt airport which would have cost $75 otherwise.
The cards are truly worth it =]
How did you get $300 in SWA gift cards and Delta?
