This is exciting because it’s a co-branded Amex card that’s offering the 100K offer. AFAIK the 100K offer has never been present  on any of the other platinum flavors.

Agree.  It's never been featured for Ameriprise (before they pulled the plug on the "churnable" no-AF deal) nor the Schwab version.  It's pretty much been the 'standard' non-cobranded Platinum.
