My limit was $5,500 when I got the letter, and forgot about it, my CL is now $5,001.... oh well no loss, they are closest to my house. But Lowes gave me a $20,000 limit via the luv button... So I make an effort to buy something every 3-6 months. Home Depot gets swipes when I need something in a hurry for the house.

Costco for example used to have a very generous return policy. People abusing it through this type of behavior drove them to change it.
