Re: Is Discover entering the sub-prime world?

Well Discover pulled TU when they approved me. This was back in early March.

But in July, 2007 they pulled EXP which resulted in a decline with a counter offer for the HSBC branded Discover card.

They pulled Experian for me on March 17th.  Fico score 668ish and approved for a 4000 cl.

Perhaps its territorial where they pull.

Rebuilding- I wish you would not give up! I too am on a quest for a Citi, BoA, and Discover. I have HSBC Discover Rewards, due to not be accepted by DISCOVER. I know that with scores in the 500's I have some real work ahead of me. I have some charges that will be falling off this year and my BK is on 6 yrs old. As the new cards I obtained age I know that somewhere down the road there is a discover card for me. This forum helps in setting you on the right track and the process of change is not overnight. Therefore, you should accept the decline as a reminder that there are things on your credit report that need to be worked on. Good luck and never give up!
