Is it possible to get a CLI with BoA without a HP?

I'm a BoA customer for about 6 years now. I have 2 checking + 1 savings account with them. I have always maintained a healthy balance of > 2-3K in each of those accounts. I have a BoA Travel Rewards card with a $1.5K limit which is about 5 years old that I have always PIF and was never late. I am planning to have it PC'd to a Better Balance Rewards card. At the same time I am hoping to switch it to a higher a CL. I was wondering if I can get them to increase the limit without experiencing a pull on my CR? Could I provide them pay stubs or something?

Customer initiated cl requests are HP's 99.99% of the time.  Sending your pay stubs will not help unfortunately.

*sigh* In the 5 years BoA has not given me a single CLI and I have not asked for it either... I wonder what I am missing here...

I've been with them since '98 and still no love. lol Still HP with every single CLI.

I think the best option would be to ask a CSR, because I think their online form always does a HP. I've used it twice (both times a year apart) and it has resulted in a HP both times.

I did get great CLI's though: .9k to 2.8k to 6.1k so I was satisfied with the HP.

BofA has given me auto CLIs until the limits reached 5K and then it got stuck so I invested a HP and did a CLI on both accounts with 1 HP.  Customer initiated will be HP but you can try asking for SP CLI but please be ready to take a HP.  If you do it online with the luv button it does not ask and simply HP TU..so if you would like to try with SP you need to call and see if that could work. If you have more than 1 account you can do CLIs with the same pull on all accounts. Good luck!

I have a BOA card which is by far my lowest limit - so low actually, that I threw it straight in the sock drawer and havent even used it. I spoke to one of the reps online and asked to close it out, she said she could help me with anything - except that.

She gave me the number to the retention dept to ask for a CLI - my request is going to be simple - Please 3x my CL soft pull  - or close the card, I have more than enough available credit for my needs so I honestly don't care if the account gets closed.

My card is so redundant to me - I cant even remember where i put it lolol
