I should have kept mine:-( I'm sad now lol...
I still have my old account number memorized too! I actually have a lot of my cc#'s memorized(wish I did my calc hw like that! Lol)
I remember when I first got that card in 2009. I was THRILLED to get a $700 limit!
Well hey, when you're good and ready again, and plan on doing some heavy shopping, you can always re-apply I'm sure the associate will be veryyyy happy to assist you!
I believe my JCP card is the only card number I've memorized...I'm too afraid to remember the others by heart XD However, if I happen to use a particular card for a lot of online purchases within a short timeframe, I do tend to remember it for a week or two! Then the numbers get all mixed up in my head and I just give up remembering!
I got mine in 2010, and was excited over my $500 limit! The associate who helped me and is still working there today joked about me opening one up...since I was checking my CK religiously at that time to see my Orchard secured post and an AU Nordstrom helping me with my score, I knew I could get. I totally bit! She was so surprised I got approved! And look where it is now, a little over 3 years later!

Ron.
They discontinued issuing them out many years ago, but they're still floating around!
When us associates call for account info for the customer, it often prompts "1" for JCP Rewards Card, and "2" for JCP Rewards Mastercard.
I haven't seen one being used for a while, though. Then again, I've changed departments over the years and where I'm at now, there simply aren't enough transactions for me to notice!

Thanks for the info. I hvew had JC Penney Card since they were JC Penney Credit Bank. They never offer me to upgrade to Mastercard version. I know a friend of mine got the Mastecard version. There is no extra benefits having the Mastercard like BB RZMC.

Hey! I notice you got a CLI on that JCP card!

Yes I did $900 bump from $6600 --> $7500!
Not sure when JCP sent out the new cards, but it still has my old limit of $6600 listed on the letter :X I believe I up'd the limit on the 5th, so they must've began rolling them out after that date!
My DW received the new Platinum today as well

Niiiiice! Definitely not as flashy as their past issued cards...but definitely better than the plain ugly grey background with brick colored lettering from many moons ago. Wish I could find a picture, but you'll know one when you see one! Usually have the magnetic strips falling off of them from the customer never using any of the newly issued ones! I even had one that was issued BEFORE the mag stripes were popular. That one was fun to process on the handheld register..
But hey, new plastic is new plastic!

I got my Platinum one today as well! It has an interesting look... The appearance is much better than the white ones floating around... I was lucky to have the Platinum version before they changed the rewards program late last year.
Nice! I currently have the white card with the new JCP square logo. I might reach gold spending by year's end. The new cards have a more classic look to them.
