Joint Applicants vs Single Applicant for Home Depot or Lowes Card

Hi Everyone,

New here and I wanted to get advice on if its easier to get approved for credit at Home Depot or Lowe's as an individual applicant or a joint one with my wife.  Does income or credit history weigh higher for approval.  i'm curious if anyone has advice on how to approach.

Welcome to the forum. As with all credit apps, if you apply jointly both applicants information will be considered. If one applicant is weaker than the other, the co-applicant should have a much stronger credit profile.

I'm not aware of either of these cards offering joint ( at least online?)

I always thought GE was easier but if you have decently strong credit it seems to be a close tie for most that apply for both... although I think GE is a little easier for SP manual review CLI through credit solutions vs. home depot after the initial "I need more credit" right after approval, future may result in sp or more than likely HP if you request i believe.
