Congrats on your approval
Rumor is that Barclay frowns upon people opening up too much credit in the first 5 months after you get a card with them. I'll find out next month because I opened 4 new cards including the barclay card back in October. With your scores I might garden 6 months with the Barclay and hope your scores get closer to 700 before applying for a rotating card like discover or freedom or a card like BCE.
Congrats on your new card
With your scores, definitely garden for at least 6 months. Barclays gets spooked with a bunch of new accounts without the credit history to back that up. But after that, I'd go for a Discover or BCE/BCP.
Congrats on your approval. I would also suggest to garden for 6 months...You do not want to spook Barclays You might get an auto-cli on Barclays with your 6th statement if you are lucky and then you might want to app for another card at that time.
You should be good to go for capital one quicksilver and possibly a base amex charge card or amex delta credit card.
look, if you plan on charging up the Barclays... AND then going to apply for more credit, sure. But if you are using the card and paying it off, don't think it will scare off Barclays.
i think the rumors are overblown, and we don't know what other issues other people had.
Which barclay card did you get? And what other cards do you already have?

That is accurate!
they lowered my limit from $2000 to $1350 (just above what was on the card; I just bought some stuff at apple store) once I opened some new account
