Barclay Ring
For a collection of our current FICO scoring wisdom, updated as we learn, read the following. Watch the revision dates on the bottom of the first 8 posts as they are regularly updated: Link to Scoring Primer.

RIP:

Updated June 2020, unless otherwise noted. I took an HP on EX, will reflect on next update.

(Forgive typos, mobile.)(Everything said is Just IMHO.)

In order to better answer your questions and record your DPs, please provide your profile stats: Any baddies? Severity and recency? (clean/dirty), Number of accounts, both open and closed on CRs (thick/thin), AoOA? (aged/nonaged), AOYRA-Age of Youngest Revolving Account (new accounts/no new accounts)? Open/closed loan on CR?
For example, mine is clean/thick/aged/new account, with open loan on record.
If you don't know where you fall, just detail any baddies, your number of open and closed accounts, AoOA, AOYRA and whether you have a loan on record.

For utilization questions, list individual and aggregate utilizations, revolving and installment, please.

Was just curious, if anyone else was hopefully interested in sharing more info: how many (if any) discontinued cards, and/or cards that are closed to new apps, do you have that are still active or not closed?

I have one: Capital One No Hassle Rewards VISA Platinum. I think it was product changed once. I've had the account since 1995 and I think it is seventeen years older than my second oldest credit card, otherwise I would have closed it years ago. Instead, I pinched its credit limit down to $500 (Capital One customer service representatives say the lowest I can set it at is $300) and I think of it as an ugly little thing with a tiny heart of gold. Credit Scores: (FICO 8) 848 Experian July 2020, 844 TransUnion July 2020 | (FICO 9) 847 Equifax August 2020
Credit Cards (newest to oldest): NFCU VISA Platinum $25,000 | BECU Cash Back VISA $10,000 | American Express BCE $3000 | Simmons Bank VISA Platinum $7500 | Capital One No Hassle Rewards VISA Platinum $500

Hyatt $75. Chase can spam me all they want to upgrade but I'll never budge.

My Freedom Card was auto converted from the Amtrak Card back when Chase offered it.

I only have one:

SPG/Bonvoy (Amex) — the base version ($95/year).

I even still have the purple card.

I also have this weird Capital One Platinum Card that appears as both Platinum and QuickSilver MasterCard, which has the same rewards as the current QuickSilver, which is a Visa.
