Just got a Walmart card

It's been 7 weeks since I went on a little app spree and was denied some GE cards (Sams Club, Lowe's, and i think another as well)

Well, today I figured I'd give it a shot for a Walmart card rather than the Sam's Club card. I'm not sure if it made any difference on that, but I did get instantly approved.

I was actually very surprised when it came up with the approval. LOL, even though the intial CL is $150 that doesn't bother me at all b/c I couldn't even get one 7 weeks ago and I'm mainly wanting it for the TU FICO each month. We do shop at Sam's Club so it will get used probably mostly on gas savings, but with it not having an AF there is no reason to get rid of it. It should only grow in time.

thanks,

John

Re: Just got a Walmart card

What gas savings?

And no worries my Macy's card started at 100 limit. Even though I was instantly approved in store I laughed at it.

Pif and then put it in the sock drawer 4 months later my limit was auto increased to 2k

Every little bit helps

save 5 cents on every gallon of gas til Dec. 31, 2012 and then i think the regular is 3 cents per gallon.

Thanks Oleg, knowing that you started low and in just a few month got a nice CLI makes me feel better.

Re: Just got a Walmart card

nearly all my inq's are falling off this year except for the ones from June.

I'm not needing to get any home, auto, etc. loans any time soon so I could garden for awhile after apping if i do.

think i'm gonna go for the Lowe's once again, and possibly Dick's sporting goods. Still looking to see which will benefit me the best. Don't want to just get a card to have one.

Interesting, I've seen a few threads where people get declined for Walmart but get Sam's and Vice versa

Does Sam's give the free TU08 score I wonder?
