Got my Amex everyday in the mail today which i was hoping i would get my Citi cards first but oh well. Noticed my APR% after intro is 20.99% which is an improvement over the 21.99% on my BCE. Found out my EX score is now 705 which pretty amazing given all the inquires i have on it i figured it would be lower. Got a few questions though with membership rewards and that Chip thingy on the card.
With membership rewards are they current to the month you got them in like say with Discover it card cashback? If I spend enough money to say make 500 points this month will it show up on that statements month or the month after like they do with the Cashback on the BCE card?
Do any establishment use the chip thing at all in the States?
For MR, at least how it works with my PRG, is that the points earned that month are credited into the MR account the next month (since PRG is a charge card, they want the balance to be paid in full first)
The only place I've seen EMV terminals that actually work in the States is Walmart...
MR take about one billing cycle to appear. So you should always get them on the next statement.
Ah ok so it is like the BCE card where the Cash back is pretty much 2 months to be credited into my account
As far as the EM chip goes how widespread is Amex available outside the states then ?

Amex ED is not the card you'd want to use out side of the US due to the FTF. You are better off with your Discover or when you get a CSP
