I logged in to check how close we were to the threshold and decided to buy myself my dream guitar to nudge it over the finish line.
Merry Christmas to me, and got $500 in Southwest airline credit along with IHG diamond elite, and SWA A-List status as a bonus. Kinda wish they'd drop the AU fee instead but I guess I'll endure SWA for a quick trip in the coming year.
Anyone else unlocking/unlocked the additional benefits before month end?
Very nice with a new guitar - hope it'll bring lots of joy. And good going with getting over the threshold and achieving the extra statuses. Happy Holidays to you.

So far it's bringing plenty of joy, although I'm not sure my wife agrees lol. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you as well.
I was already planning to buy the guitar so this just tipped it in it's favor.
Wow, big spender!! Since you’ve obviously booked a lot of travel through Chase, what do you like/dislike about their portal?

We're currently accumulating UR points for our daughter's graduation trip to Italy next summer. For the travel we've booked through the portal I've enjoyed the 1.5x redemption prior to 10/26 and now try to navigate to the deals that qualify for the Points Boost feature. Their prices/rates are very similar, if not identical, to what can be found on the travel sites which is nice, unlike the Amex portal that can be marked up. Can't say I've really found too many downsides so far and it's easy to use. The Edit hotels are similar to the FHR through Amex so it's nice to get the added benefits of noon check-in/4pm checkout and the various property credits that come with it.
Primarily we've used it for dining out and the Sapphire exclusive tables, albeit limited, has gotten us some last minute reservations similar to how the Amex concierge used to work.
Overall we've been really happy with the card and intend to keep it for another year.
