I am a lurker for sure. I am grateful for the all the information I have gleaned over the years. I have had cards from Credit One to AOD all thanks to this forum. Great and helpful community.

I've had Disco close an account on me inside of 6 months, think it might have been 3. I haven't seen a CLD from small monthly charges though - is that common? I usually only run $25-125 through a couple cards and Chase hasn't bothered me about them at all and that's been going on for years

Much of it is profile-specific. If you have a very strong credit profile, AA is far less common, for any reason. I've got multiple high limit CCs that never see more than 1% utilization (of that high limit) any given cycle and never once have I received a CLD from any lender.

I agree, profile specific
Have had many cards with $20,000 CL and 5-10 dollars spend every few months.
Never had a CL decrease or card closed.
Before finding this forum I had a few CU cards 10+ years with no spend and still open and full CL.

IMO, not quite that simple. At the time that Cap One did the big CLD, my scores were all around 850, and I have an old profile. Basically Cap One decided for a few of us that the ~$30+K needed more spend. I think others impacted were also good profiles. It's rare, that's been my only example where there was a CLD following spend, but a strong profile isn't always enough!

My opinion is that this had more to do with the lender than the customer/individual profile. As you referenced, "others" were impacted, so this was a blanket decision in the sense that it was made by the lender that spanned across many profiles. I agree that this (Cap One) may be the only example of this and IMO it doesn't really fit otherwise specific individual profile-related AA that we hear about on occasion.
You can reload your Amazon giftcard balance with $.50. I do this every 3 months on all the cards I don't use regularly.
Sorry to hear! And thank you for the info
