And just got instantly approved in less than 10 seconds! This is for the one with the 40,000 points after $1000 spend offer that is going on. Not sure what my limit is, will it tell me that when I create my account? Also not too worried if I get the World MC version or not...I already have a Visa Siggy so I don't really care about that part.
I hate on Barclays a lot because they seem to be very finicky with a lot of members here. Nonetheless, I've been toying with the idea of applying for the Arrival for a few days now (first year free, no FTF, I can downgrade to the no annual fee card when the time comes, and rewards that fit my spending profile!), but was worried about being denied for INQs. My TU has 4 INQs - 2 from this year, 1 from 10/2012, and 1 that drops off next month. I have opened 2 accounts in 2013 but one of them was backdated to 2012.
Other than this card, the only future app I have planned is for another AMEX in January or February since I'll likely be closing my green card in September. And that new card will backdate too!
Anyway, I'm bringing my lovely new seedling back to the garden with me. Now to figure out what it's limit is...

OK, just got my account set up and my limit is $4000, yay! I was hoping it would be at least $3k so I could use it as my main overseas travel card since my Cap1 limit isn't quite high enough for big trips yet.

grats!
try calling them tomorrow and ask for 5k
They are sometimes willing to do it without new inquiries.
Eh, I don't feel a dying need for the $5k, especially since it'll probably hit that point within a year! From what I understand, they're pretty good about doing SP increases every 6 months. If they had only given me $2k, I would have called to recon that!
I told you to ask for 5k because 5k is the minimum CL for the world mastercard tier. With a 4k CL it will be the platinum mastercard.
Let's say your CL becomes >5k after 6-12months. If you currently have a platinum mastercard, it will most likely stay that way even if your CL is >5k. Barclays doesn't really seem to upgrade the card's tiers. People were instead recommended to close the accounts and reapply if they really insist upon it.
congrats

I already have a Visa Signature card though, and I believe the benefits of VS > the benefits of WMC, based on what I've read on the boards.
