Letting Capital One go...

I've got too many Capital One accounts.  I only had two of them, but all of their acquisitions and buy outs got me up to six of them.  None of which will grow, because I have too many of them.

We're rearranging some balances this month, and five of them will be paid in full...  I may just start closing them.

They're not the worst credit card company out there, but they certainly aren't the best.  Now that I have Chase and Discover in my wallet, I think it might just be time to let Capital One go work for someone else.

Re: Letting Capital One go...

Why not just pc one into a QSVS and combine the rest into it?

Re: Letting Capital One go...

How about combining them once they are at a zero balance? Diversity is good when it comes to credit cards and just because you have these two does not mean you should get rid of Capital One.

But it is all up to you and your spending habitsSmiley Happy.

Re: Letting Capital One go...

Have you tried combining, or are some of those old Household acts?

One was Orchard, Two were Household, One was somebody else I can't remember.  Smiley Happy

They aren't paid off yet, so I haven't tried combining...but only two of them are original "Capital One" cards, so I believe that those would be the only two that I could combine.

Right?

Re: Letting Capital One go...

Get out of the recliner and go to job B Lol

Hey my friend

Sounds like a great plan for down the road

However now is not the time in your case for UTL purposes in maybe 8 months I agree if not needed get rid of the dead weight

But now is not the time for you

Hang strong and keep doing what you've been doing and things will be fine

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
